Overview
The Address Matching Approval System (AMAS) is a certification program used to measure the accuracy of address matching software. This software prepares addresses for barcode creation, ensures quality addressing, and enables mailers to qualify for postal discounts for PreSort letter lodgments.
AMAS Program Overview
By using software approved under the Address Matching Approval System (AMAS), you have access to one of the most accurate address reference databases in Australia by which to match the addresses in your databases in order to barcode your mail. Barcoding is necessary to access Australia Post's PreSort Letters Service discounts.
AMAS Approved Software
The companies listed have developed AMAS approved software, and been granted a licence to supply address-matching and correction software.
About the PAF
The Postal Address File (PAF) is an extract from Australia Post's core addressing database, the National Address File (NAF), which has been developed for the purpose of supporting Post's mail processing and delivery operations.
